The metaverse is indeed the vision and the great next technological step that our world is going to undergo. It is becoming the ideal place to live experiences with a strong emotional and also educational impact. From team building to medical, from sailing schools to university classrooms, virtual reality allows you to have memorable experiences like the real one.
We could say that the blockchain-based metaverse does not blend the real and virtual world, but creates a totally alternative one, where you can even imagine ways in which to monetize the experience, following dynamics similar to those of the real world, while remaining in a fantasy context and thus creating an all-round, new and evasive digital experience.
Users access the metaverse through 3D headsets, experiencing virtual activities: create realistic avatars, meet other users, create virtual objects or properties, go to concerts, conferences, travel and more. Luxury brands such as Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Etro and fast fashion chains such as Zara, H&M, Benetton have not missed the opportunity to open their flagship stores in the Metaverse Fashion District, creating real and immersive user experiences.
METAVERSE IN THE WORLD
Dubai will add $4 billion to its economy in the next 5 years to support the Dubai Metaverse Strategy and turn the city into one of the world’s top 10 metaverse economies as well as a global hub for the metaverse community. The strategy aims to build on Dubai’s achievement of attracting more than 1,000 companies in the fields of blockchain and metaverse. It also promotes Dubai’s ambitions to support more than 40,000 virtual jobs by 2030. This would further boost Dubai’s economy and support the UAE government’s vision of increasing the number of blockchain companies by five times the current number.
The entire state of Singapore has been modelled in 3D, which reportedly makes it the world’s largest digital twin.
Singapore is not the only major city to have been modelled this way for practical purposes. Just now Seoul launched a major modelling project in order to offer its inhabitants optimized services within the metaverse. The aim is to improve their daily lives and enable them to take advantage of all the city’s services, once they’re immersed in this virtual representation.
Course Outline MODULE 1 | Understanding Metaverse, (8 hours)
Metaverse, what it is and where it was born, metaverse in the world, psycho-socio-economic implications, current and concrete applications, main platforms, professions and opportunities.
MODULE 2 | Understanding Blockchain, (12 hours)
Basics of Blockchain technology, current scenarios and latest frontiers on cryptocurrencies, smart contracts and dApps. Special focus on Ethereum blockchain.
MODULE 3 | Metaverse 4 Business: building a Metaverse Community, (4 hours)
Business growth with metaverse multimedia production and content creation. Metaverse Community Building & Event Management.
The course is open to anyone who is interested to know more about the Metaverse and Blockchain technology in a creative and stimulating environment through an extremely practical approach. Curiosity and passion for technology are the only requirements.
The course provides you with a solid foundation in the Metaverse and Blockchain space and moreover with a deep understanding of what makes these technologies play a key role in our future lives. Eventually the metaverse and the blockchain will have no more secrets for you. And more important: you will have the ability to recognise a scam from a real opportunity.
