Ninety-five percent of business leaders have stated that within 5-10 years, the metaverse will positively impact their businesses. Thanks to recent technological investments that are bringing the metaverse to fruition, this market is set to grow in the near future.
In addition to an ever-growing pool of gamers, the sector is mainly driven by major international companies—like Facebook (now Meta)—which invest millions each year in the development of new technologies. These investments have enabled significant advances in the realm of virtual reality. Current technologies have made it possible to revive and make more accessible a dream that was once considered utopian: low-cost virtual reality accessible to the masses.
This practical and compact course aims to guide enthusiasts towards the universe of game development, providing the necessary knowledge to create complete and engaging video game products through a training experience in a virtual environment. The broad range of skills acquired during the course will enable students to imagine, design, and develop any idea, assessing its critical aspects, development times, costs, and market viability. Thanks to modules dedicated to Blockchain and Cloud Computing, students will also gain proficiency with essential tools for operating in the new metaverse landscape. By creating unique digital assets (NFTs) and decentralized gaming environments on cloud platforms (primarily AWS), students will be able to produce products that offer users unique gaming experiences. Finally, the video game developed by each student during the course will serve as the first element of their personal portfolio and, if deemed particularly valuable, may be selected by the partner company to be launched on the market!

Objective: to transfer to participants the basic computer science and programming knowledge indispensable for learning to develop games from scratch and to be able to make the most of the subsequent modules.
Note: If you are not starting from scratch and have a solid foundation in computing, you can avoid the Foundation Module and your course duration is reduced by three months!
MODULE 2 A | Game Development & VFX with Unreal Engine
