Introduction
Laert's story is an inspiring example of how passion, commitment, and a desire to grow can lead to extraordinary results. From Printing worker to Junior Big Data Analyst, Laert, 28 years old, has gone through a remarkable professional evolution in just 6 months. Despite the challenge of the pandemic, he was able to seize the opportunities that came his way, gaining skills that led him to become a Solution Architect. In this article, we explore his journey, the technologies he learned, and his valuable advice for anyone aspiring to pursue a career in data analytics.

Question: What was your path from printer to Junior Big Data Analyst and then Solution Architect?
Answer: After graduating as a Big Data Junior Expert from Geeks Academy, I started working as a Junior Data Analyst during the beginning of the pandemic. My first project involved migrating data between two databases, which was a challenge that lasted several months. Subsequently, my role evolved to become a Solution Architect, a role that offered me the opportunity to work on multiple products and platforms, facing exciting challenges.

Question: What technologies have you learned and used in your course of study?
Answer: Some of the core technologies I have learned and used are SQL and Linux. The latter along with the networking module is a specificity of Geeks Academy that going against the grain of other courses offered in the market that aim to reduce content includes it as a mandatory core competency. These skills have proven to be essential in the area of data analysis and infrastructure management. Interestingly, new technologies often have similarities to those I have already encountered, so learning one technology also helps to understand others with ease.

Question: How did you overcome the lack of an initial IT background?
Answer: The key was commitment and a willingness to constantly learn. And the presence of basic computer science modules in the course of study helped a lot. Despite the fact that I did not have a strictly IT background, I decided to take a professional higher education course to acquire the necessary skills. It is essential to be agnostic toward technologies and to develop a way of thinking that is suited to the field of data analysis. Being ready to adapt to new projects and learn new skills is essential in this ever-changing field.

Question: What is the message you want to share with aspiring students?
Answer: My message to aspiring students is to never underestimate one's potential. With determination, curiosity and constant commitment, you can overcome challenges and achieve your goals, even if you start from a different background. Being open to new technologies and change is crucial in the field of data analytics, where continuous learning is the key to growth and success. With the right attitude and passion for what you do, you can achieve amazing goals. I wish all aspiring students to follow their passions and believe in themselves, because nothing is impossible when you put your heart into what you do.

Conclusions
Laert is an example of how one's career path can transform in surprising ways when one is willing to bet on oneself and take on new challenges with enthusiasm. His evolution from Printing worker to Junior Big Data Analyst and later to Solution Architect shows that determination and a positive attitude can open unimaginable doors and lead to a rewarding and successful career in data analytics.
